On Sunday at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, the Denver Broncos looked like they were going to be able to do something that no other team has been able to do this season, which is beat the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs.
Despite having a two-point lead late in the fourth quarter, the Broncos were making their way down the field and put themselves in the ideal position to win the game on the road with a game-winning field goal from kicker Wil Lutz.
Even though they were in great field position and gave Lutz the opportunity to lead the team to their sixth win of the season, the Chiefs had no intention of losing their first game of the season, as they blocked the field-goal attempt and won the game.
After the disappointing end to the game against the Chiefs, Lutz spoke to the media and expressed his disappointment over the blocked field goal via Zac Stevens of DNVR Sports.
“It didn’t go in from my vantage point,” Lutz said. … “I’ve been in a lot of tough games. I’ve lost games in tough ways, and that was up there. Hopefully, we can learn from it and finish off the next one.”

The Broncos may have let this game slip through their fingers while giving the Chiefs their ninth win of the season, but Denver is a competitive football team that could be on pace to clinch a playoff spot in the AFC.
In Week 11, the Broncos will try to bounce back against the visiting Atlanta Falcons at Empower Field at Mile High.
