Coming into Week 10’s matchup with the San Francisco 49ers, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers had proven they aren’t a team to be taken likely despite having a losing record of 4-5, as veteran quarterback Baker Mayfield has had this team playing competitive football this season.

However, some injuries have proven costly for the Buccaneers, with two of Mayfield’s favorite targets unable to play against the 49ers, as wide receiver Chris Godwin has been ruled out for the season while star wideout Mike Evans continues to work his way back from a hamstring injury.

Even though Mayfield has been without his best two wide receivers over the last couple of weeks, he’s kept his team in games against some of the best teams in the league, like the Baltimore Ravens, Atlanta Falcons and Kansas City Chiefs.

Things didn’t get any easier on Sunday as Tampa Bay played host to Brock Purdy and the San Francisco 49ers, who were able to get some pressure on the veteran quarterback, but one play stood out amongst the rest.

Superstar Nick Bosa was able to get free and get his hands on Mayfield, but it wasn’t enough to get him down or to stop him from completing a pass on the run via the NFL’s X account.

Ultimately, the Buccaneers weren’t able to get the win against the visiting 49ers, with San Francisco getting the three-point win on the road.

However, Mayfield showed he’s as tough as they come and hasn’t given up on the team’s chances of making the NFL playoffs this season.
