One of the NFL’s oldest and most fierce rivalries will be renewed when the Green Bay Packers take on the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field in NFL Week 11.
The Packers are 6-3 and looking to give themselves a shot at winning the NFC North, while the Bears are last in the division with a 4-5 record.
Packers cornerback Keisean Nixon, who also serves as a kick returner, downplayed a social media post from Bears pass rusher Montez Sweat, who tweeted several months ago about the Green Bay-Chicago rivalry.
“Montez my dude, but I don’t even think he playing, so he gonna have to eat that tweet up,” Nixon said, via Matt Schneidman of The Athletic. “I haven’t lost to them since I’ve been here, so is that a rivalry?”
Montez Sweat tweeted in March about his rivalry with Green Bay. Keisean Nixon responded by saying it’s not a rivalry.

Nixon was named to the All-Pro First Team in each of the past two seasons, as he led the NFL in kick return yards.
He’s getting fewer snaps on special teams this season but does have 195 yards on seven kick returns and 48 yards on four punt returns through nine games.
Meanwhile, Sweat has 3.5 sacks, seven quarterback hits, five tackles for loss and two passes defended in his first full season with Chicago. He is listed as questionable for the game with an ankle injury.
The matchup will be the first this season between the Packers and Bears, and it will be an important one for both squads, not only because of the rivalry that stretches back a full century.
The Bears are fighting to get into the race for a wild-card playoff spot in the NFC, while the Packers are looking to keep pace with the Detroit Lions, who lead the NFC North.
